- [Instructor] So, we now know what UVs are, but what do you do when your 3D application gives you bad UVs? Or you've modeled an object so much that the UVs just no longer hold up. So I wanna show you how I unfold 99 percent of all the objects I ever work on. So this is a vase that we will be texturing later in this course, and I do just wanna take a look at the UVs for it, and you can see over in the UV editor on the right side of the screen that we'd actually started with a cylinder, and it kept those basic shapes. Now, that just doesn't work for an object that ends up becoming this complex. So I am gonna go in my UV Editor, and click on this little checker pattern just so that I can get a start on what my UVs are going to look like. Now, I can't really use these UVs, and honestly, I don't ever use the default UVs on any of the primitives that I start with. So I do want to delete them, and just create a new set from scratch.
