Welcome
- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Adam Crespi, and welcome to Creating Cityscapes in Autodesk Maya. In this course, we'll look at the planning, design, and reference for a city. I'll start by showing you how to gather reference and analyze the different conditions we see in existing cities to form our new ones. Then, we'll use Adobe Illustrator to plan out our city, making a series of symbols that we can then make a city plan, and know what we need to build in 3D. We'll see how to create references in Maya. We'll also look at containerizing assets and finally using a mental ray proxy. Once we have our city together, we'll take a rough version into Nuke and make sure that the 3D camera moves and matte planes we'll create match up with the rendering, testing out our compositing and matte painting. We'll be covering all these features, plus plenty of other tools and techniques. Now, let's get started with Creating Cityscapes in Autodesk Maya.
