Accessing effects from the Effect Palette
- [Instructor] Until now, we've been adding transition effects to our sequence exclusively using the Quick Transitions dialogue box, which is accessed at the top of the Timeline Panel. But now it's time to take a look at the Effect Palette, which has been with us pretty much from the beginning of this course. The Effect Palette has all of the effects that you can apply in Media Composer, categorized by type. Along the top, we have a number of filters. We've got Transitions, Audio Track effects, and Audio Clip effects. And what we're interested in for now is our transitions. Once we've selected that type of effect, we can now choose one of the categories on the list. Here, for example, are the Blend transitions, and the one I'm interested in is right here, Dissolve. If I want to add a transition effect from the Effect Palette to my sequence, all I have to do is grab the effect, drag it down to the Timeline Window, and when…
