Adding and removing frames with the numeric keypad

- [Instructor] If your keyboard has a dedicated numeric key pad, you can use it to apply incremental trim adjustments while you're in the Trim Mode. I'm going to select this edit so I have a dual-roller trim. And now I can type plus and then a number to apply an incremental trim adjustment. So here, for example, I'll type in plus 20 and enter, and you can see that dual-roller trim moves. Of course, this applies to any other kind of trimming adjustment too. If I type in minus 20, the trim roller moves again. Although we're using the plus and minus keys on the numeric keypad to do this, and it's tempting, I think, to imagine that that will mean increasing the length of a clip or decreasing the length of a clip, it really depends on where the trim rollers are. For example, if I trim the right side of this edit and I type in plus 20 and enter, I'm actually shortening the B side. That's the clip on the right side of the edit.…
