- [Narrator] AMA plugins allow Media Composer to read many of the media files you're going to work with. But there's also a level of interpretation required when you're working, for example, with overcranked media, where you've shot at a higher than normal frame rate. Media Composer needs to know whether you want to play back that media at the captured frame rate, or, for example, at the project frame rate, giving you slow motion. The place you go to to set the way your media is interpreted is the source settings, and I just want to draw your attention to the type of media we're working with here. This is linked media, rather than imported media, and we can tell that because the master clip icon has little chain icon over the top of it. I'm going to create a new bin, and I'm going to call this imported media, and I'm going to go to the tools menu, and go into the media tool. I've got my media drive selected. I've got all the projects associated with any of the media on my machine…
