Applying segment effects

- [Instructor] To apply an effect to a clip segment, you can drag the effect directly into the timeline window. And when you do, you'll see an icon in the middle of the clip segment to indicate the effect that's been applied. These icons do vary depending on the effect that you've chosen. You can also select a clip in a sequence and double-click on an effect to apply it to that selected clip. In fact, if you select multiple clips, either by using a segment tool with the Shift key as I'm doing now or by lassoing across multiple clips as I'm doing now, once those clips are selected, you can double-click on an effect in the effect palette and it'll be applied to all of the selected clips. If you want to change the effect that's been applied to a clip, you can simply drag a new effect on instead. By default, the effect that you'd applied originally will be replaced with the new segment effect. Later, we'll get on to combining…
