Audio ducking

- [Narrator] One of the great new features in Avid Media Composer 8.6 is Audio Ducking. This is something that radio DJs use to make sure the music dips when they speak. It's a pretty common thing to want to dip music audio level when counters are speaking. Here, for example, I've got a pretty random series of clips along the timeline. You can see from the waveform that there's dialog. Let's have a listen to the combination of the vocals and the dialog. - Going to the dentist has got to be frightening. But I assure you, we're not monsters. - [Narrator] So, with this as it is, it's okay, but it'd be quite nice to lift the music level a bit and have it dip down behind the vocals. I'm going to switch over to viewing the Clip Gain here for my Audio Three and Four, and this music's set on two tracks. It's not here as stereo. I probably would use stereo music, but I want you to see that you can use this technique on more than one track at a time. I'm going to change the gain adjustment here…
