Automatically creating a sequence
- [Narrator] To explore dragging and dropping to splice in, I'm going to create a new sequence, and I want to show you a shortcut for that process. Here, I've got a sequence open in the timeline window, and I want to clear it, so I'm going to right click in the record monitoring in the composer window, and I'm going to choose clear monitor. Remember, the record monitor is a portal, if you like, into the timeline window, so clearing one clears the other. Now, I've got to make a decision about the type of drag and drop edit I'm going to perform. If I open up this scene seven bin, I can perhaps choose one of the early shots in this sequence to use at the beginning. Let's go for this seven 36 five shot, which is pretty much the start of the dialogue. When you drag from the composer window, or directly from a bin, the in and out points that you've added are automatically applied, so you're only going to get the part of the…
