- [Narrator] If it seems that your overall mix is playing too loudly, or too softly, there are basically two likely explanations. One, is that your playback hardware is set too loud or too quiet. And of course the benefit of having meters in Media Composer, is they give you an objective indication of level, to try to overcome your subjectivity, when you're listening to the sound. But in reality, if you see peak levels that are sort of in the right kind of region, and it still seems just a bit too loud in general, or a bit too quiet in general, it can be difficult to use the audio monitoring tools, to know exactly if there's a problem with the mix or with your sound system. So, there are two different ways, to respond to this challenge. One is to obviously check your hardware.
