The Clipboard Monitor

- [Instructor] One of my favorite Media Composer tools is the Clipboard Monitor. I can't describe to you how many times this tool has saved me significant work when working on a complex edit. The principle of the Clipboard Monitor is simple. Take whatever you've copied and make it available as source. I'm going to take for example a section of this sequence, I'm in my Clipboard monitor sequence, I'm working on the complete version here. You can follow along if you like. I'm going to just hold the Control or Command key to snap to the beginning of a clip, and then I'm going to mark an in with I, and then I'm going to just hold Control or Command plus the Alt key to get the last frame of this clip, and I'm going to press O to get an out. Now, I want to take the contents that I've selected here, and edit them precisely into another section of the sequence. Let's say just after this 1A-3 clip.
