- Just as you can combine multiple effects to create a single nested segment in a sequence, you can actually also combine multiple clips into a single segment to tidy up your view, or perhaps simply to organize your clips in more convenient way for effects work. The mechanism is called Collapsing. Collapsing Tracks in media composer. And essentially, all you need to do is choose the items you want to collapse. You can do that in a couple of ways. I'm going to use the shift key here to select these three clip segments using my segment tool. And then, you need to click the collapse button. And that's available in the command pallet. I'm going to the tools menu and I'm choosing command pallet. I've got my command pallet in active mode and I'm looking in the other category. Now that I have these three clip segments selected, I'm going to click the collapse button. Let's just close the command pallet for a moment, so we can see…
