Controlling render speed and quality

- [Instructor] There are render settings that you can change in Media Composer that will speed up your renders in exchange for some loss of quality. If I go to the file menu and into settings in the user section and scroll down to render, let's take a look. Probably the three most important settings to go over here are here, the image interpolation option. These are pretty much low, medium and high quality, or let's say; low, standard and high quality. This is the quality of the render files that you're going to produce. Media Composer will use the pre-computes, that's the files that are produced when you render for output. And so, in most cases you'll find that the standard quality is fine but if you're working on a higher-end project with a more powerful computer, you might decide to go for the advanced polyphase option.
