Create a group clip
- [Instructor] It's common to capture separate video and audio on location, and to need to join those separate sources together in post production. Even if your camera has the ability to record sound, it's common just to put any microphone on so you have some kind of reference, but to keep your audio acquisitions separate, if only because it means you've got one less trailing wire for people to step on. Media Composer provides a couple of different approaches to syncing clips, and I'll look at the first in this lesson, grouping clips, and the second, syncing clips, next. The group clips function is the one used to work with multiple camera material in media composer, but you can also use it to combine your separate video and audio content. So here, for example, I've got a clip, this is shot four, pickup number three, and this does have audio, but I have better quality audio right here that I want to combine with it.
