Creating bins

- Bins are the organizational heart of your Avid Media Composer project. You can have pretty much as many as you like. And you can call them whatever you want. And it's very important to be clear about which bins are open or closed. Really, if you have a bin that is open, you can access the contents. Here, I've double clicked on the sequences bin in the bin container on the left, and if I double click, I can open up a sequence. But if a bin is closed, which you can achieve by right clicking on a bin or group of selected bins and choosing close selected bins, you can't access the contents at all. A bin file is an AVB file. And they're the same on Mac OS and Windows. You can copy and paste them between projects and share them between projects even although that's probably unwise most of the time because there's a danger you'll end up interfering with the contents of another project.
