Creating a new project

- [Instructor] Here we are, back on the first window that you'll see when you start up Media Composer. And we're going to create a new project. Once we've chosen our user profile, which of course we can change later, and we've chosen where we want the new project to be created, in our private, shared or external storage locations, we really just need to click on the New Project button. Before I click that button, it's worth mentioning that Media Composer doesn't really mind where your project is, ultimately it's looking at a file path. Here we've got my C Drive on Windows, this would be the Macintosh hard drive on Mac OS, I mean the users documents folder, and in a folder called Avid projects. If you quit Media Composer and move a project folder to another location, it'll have absolutely no impact on the way Media Composer works, you can just open up the project at that new location.…
