Dealing with spill
- [Instructor] It looks like we're pretty close to a reasonable key. We can probably spend a little more time finessing the lending between the veil and background, but suddenly it looks like we have a subject and they're standing in front of a background. However, we are seeing a little bit of green in this semi-transparent region where the veil is. And on the edges of the dress, we're seeing some green reflected from the background. This reflected color is called spill. And it's difficult to key because the color you're seeing is a blend of that clean, green background with whatever the foreground element is. In this case, a blue dress and a blue veil. There's a solution to help reduce the impact of spill inside the spectrum mat effect. I'm going to scroll down here and expand the spill controls. The spill angle offset controls the range of colors that are going to be adjusted by the spill saturation setting. And…
