Drag-and-drop overwrite

- [Instructor] Performing an overwrite edit when dragging a clip from a bin or from the composer window into a sequence should go pretty much as you expect. There are a couple of things that you might need to check before you drag a clip into the sequence. The first is the mode for this button. Now, if you've got the segment mode set to yellow, you're going to get a splice-in edit. And if I right click here to enable also this red overwrite mode, and I'll just de-select so we have the smart tool mode. Well, actually at this point, we're still also going to get a splice-in edit if we drag from the bin or the composer window. And that's because if I go into the timeline settings, I'm holding control now, this would be command on Mac OS and I'm pressing equals. Here in the timeline settings, we currently have our default segment mode configured for insert, that's the splice-in version of the edit. If this was set to…
