The Effect Palette

- [Instructor] The Effect Palette is relatively easy to navigate. Once we're in the filters category, we can scroll down to choose a type of effect. Let's say, for example, the color correction presets. And then, on the right, you can see all of the various effects that are part of that group. We've got reformat effects. We've got some image adjustment effects, like, flips and flops, to switch the angle of the shot. You'll notice that quite a few of the items on the list look a lot like transition effects, and that's true. They really are transition effects, but they are designed for you to have layers of video, where you're bringing the foreground video into frame, or taking it out of the shot. And many of these effects use animation controls for you to personalize the appearance and the result.
