- [Instructor] Until now we have accessed Effect mode by clicking on the Effect mode button in the timeline window, or of course by going to the Tools menu and choosing the Effect Editor, which has pretty much the same effect. But now that we're working on segment effect, perhaps it's time to finally make use of our workspaces. We've been using the edit workspace until now. There is a dedicated effect workspace, so I'm going to click on that entry and just to be sure I've got the standard default layer, I'm going to click on the little menu that pops up and I'm going to choose Restore Current to Default. I'll just click OK on the confirmation message. This gives us access to items that we've seen before. But now everything's laid out conveniently for our effects work. Our effect pallette has come to the foreground, which of course we could've accessed before, but now it's right here. And the effect editor has been placed in its own…
