Launching Media Composer
- [Tutor] When you first load Avid Media Composer, this is the screen that you're going to see, the select project window. And let's take a look at the options on this window. First of all, at the top you can see we have our current user and there's a menu to create a new user profile or import a user profile or just select the ones that are already installed on this computer. User profiles are pretty important in Avid Media Composer because the settings that they contain can have a dramatic impact on the way that media composer works. And we'll get into that in detail later on. Next up, we've got the location that we're going to browse in to choose a project to work on. Avid Media Composer uses your file system a little bit more than some other editing systems. For example, the individual containers for your media inside a project, the bins as they're called, are files. And in fact, that your project that you're working on…
