Locking down a shot

- Now let's take a look at another application of the stabilize effect. This time, let's use it to completely lock down a shot, so that it looks like it was shot using a tripod rather than being handheld. And before we get into that, I want to show you just a little detail in the way markers work in Media Composer. Right now we're in effect mode, which means that the composer window is showing us just the contents of one clip. If I go to the "Tools" menu and open up the "Markers" window, and try to double-click on a marker to jump to that location in the sequence, you'll notice that nothing really happens. And that's because the playhead is kind of locked into just this one clip. To get out of this mode, I'm going to click on the time code at the top of the timeline.
