- [Instructor] I want to highlight an important distinction in the way that we are editing clips into this sequence. It's a very early stage, we've just got two main shots and a cut away to a piece of dialogue, and we've just edited this 7323 clip into the sequence. The method I used to add this clip was a Splice in edit, and this means that items are pushed out of the way when you add the clip to the sequence. We're going to look at different method in a few moments which is described as an override edit, which does not push clips out of the way. Most of the time when you are building a sequence, in the beginning you're going to use the splice in method. And that's because you want to shuffle everything around and build the puzzle that is your sequence. But there is probably just one main risk when you use this method.
