Marking clips

- [Instructor] When you add clips to a sequence, it's rare that you'll want to add the entire contents. You're probably going to choose just a piece or several pieces of an original piece of media. The way you tell Media Composer which part of a clip you want to use in a sequence is by adding an endpoint at the beginning of the part that you want and an outpoint at the end. I've got a clip open in the source monitor. This is 7_36_2. And if I just scrub through this, you can see that we've got a clapper board at the beginning that we don't need as a slate and then there's a bit of action and then at the end, it looks like the shot ends and the camera whips over to the window again. We definitely don't want the slate and we don't want that final little whip pan at the end where the camera looks out the window.
