Match Frame and Find Bin
- [Instructor] Two of the most useful shortcuts in Media Composer are match frame and find bin and I'd like to take a moment to just learn about these and maybe set one of them up as a keyboard shortcut. And I think you'll agree, it's worthwhile. First of all, let's look at match frame. Here on the timeline, I've got a clip. It's the slow hand-hold clip and I want to locate this particular clip in the bin and in particular, I want to find this frame. I want to find this moment in the shot. Doing so helps me to check out other media around it to see whether perhaps there are other takes or other sections of the content I can use in my sequence. It's very useful to be able to check back without having to go manually searching for the shot. Now, I can see this is shot R8_107 so I suppose I could search for it or I could sift the bin and run a find, but I don't need to. All I need to do is choose match frame.
