Mixing down video

- [Instructor] Now that I'm ready to output, I'll put a little bit of a slate in this space between the bars and tone and the first frame of video. And then I'm going to perform what's called a video mixdown. You don't have to perform a mixdown. You can just export your media to a file and allow Media Composer to perform the conversion. But if you do perform a mixdown, you can reuse the media in multiple ways. For example, you might produce an opening title sequence where it's easier for you to just have a single clip that represents the contents of that sequence. It won't be editable but it'll be a lot easier to manage. First of all, I'm going to line up my slate. So I'm going to type in 59-58-00. That'll be the end of my title. I'll mark an out point with the O key. And I'm going to type in -1,000. This will give me -10 seconds and I'll press I to mark an endpoint. I only have one video track in this sequence, so I'll…
