- [Instructor] The time code is displayed in a number of locations in Media Composer. Here at the top of the timeline window, in the source or player monitor over in the composer window, in the program monitor and of course there's even a dedicated time code window. And by now you should be comfortable looking at anything that is eight digits with colons or semicolons between them, representing the hours, minutes, seconds and frames. But up at the top of the composer window, we've got a number of different options, including the in to out duration that I find extremely useful. The absolute position from the beginning of the sequence. And that's useful if you're working with non-standard start time code, the master time code, for example, here we're starting at one hour, which is the default in Media Composer, total duration, all of these things are pretty self explanatory.
