- [Instructor] When creating motion effects, you're going to come across this two field motion effect using menu. And I thought it might be an idea to fill you in on what the different options mean. What's critical is that you understand the difference between progressive media where it's whole frames of video information, and interlaced media where you have odd and even horizontal lines of picture information that are interwoven together to produce the final complete image. Interlaced media was originally created to help with the analog broadcast television system. It allowed the network to distribute the media more efficiently. Nowadays, our technology doesn't need it.
