Partial rendering

- [Instructor] It isn't necessary for Media Composer to render an entire clip for the pre-computes to be available for playback for part of the clip. You can interrupt the rendering process and as much work has been done so far will be available for playback. Just to illustrate this, I'll start off rendering a piece of this timeline. I'm going to select a bunch of tracks and clips and I'll render In to Out in the sequence. The keyboard shortcut to cancel the rendering process is Control in Windows or Command in macOS and the period key. So, I'm going to right click and I'm going to choose Render, Render In to Out, 13 effects to render, let's go. And now, during the render I'm going to press here on Windows Control + period, that's Command + period on macOS, and I have the option to keep the partial render or not. I'm going to choose to keep.
