Relinking media files
- [Instructor] It's quite possible that at some time or other, you're going to move your media between machines, or between locations on a machine. And when you do, it's possible that Media Composer will simply lose the files. The clips will still be in your project, but you won't necessarily have them online. And there are some simple solutions for this. Just to illustrate how this works, I'm going to rename a folder. I'm inside my Jacuzzi QT folder, where we have these various sub folders, and I'm going to select this double O seven folder and rename it to old. This means the path, that's the location of the media, has now changed. I'm going to load up Media Composer now and open up that Jacuzzi project. I just make sure the project is selected and click OK. And you'll notice that Media Composer doesn't complain, it doesn't give me a warning message, or let me know that the media files are no longer online. But…
