Remove segment effects
- [Instructor] Removing segment effects is a little more straight-forward than removing transitions. Here, I've got my playhead over this clip, and all I have to do is make sure the track is enabled, and go to the Remove Effect button, and it's gone. If I just undo that, it's also easier to remove effects for multiple clips. I'm going to lasso over lots of these, or these three with the flop effect on, and, with them selected, I'm going to go to the Remove Effect button, and no more effects. There are actually three kinds of effect that you can apply in Media Composer. You have transition effects, which we've looked at already, segment effects, which there are many, many, many of here in our effect palette. There's also what Media Composer describes as motion effects, which are used to change the playback speed of clips. Down here, on the timeline, we've got a motion effect editor, and when we apply a motion effect to a clip, we can use this tool to change the settings for it. Once…
