Removing segment effects
- [Instructor] Removing segment effects is similar to removing transition effects. Here, I've got a clip selected, with a segment effect applied, and I'm going to click the Remove effect button. This removes that segment effect. You can also click to select a clip segment in a sequence, and press the Delete key, or Backspace key. This actually removes the effect, and not the clip. And the reason is that once you put an effect onto a clip, in a way, in the sequence, you're actually not looking at the clip any more. You're now looking at the effect, and the effect contains the clip. In fact, the model that Media Composer follows for the relationship between effects and clips is very much one of containers. Things go inside of things. So as soon as you apply an effect to a clip, you're putting that clip inside the effect. Single click to select the segment, and press Delete, or Backspace, and you're removing that outer layer.…
