- [Illustrator] As well as adding and modifying transition effects, of course, you're also going to want to know how to remove them. Once again, your track selection on the record side of the track header is important here. I've got my playhead lined up over a transition effect, and I'm going to click here on the remove effect button. You can also select an edit in this case, of course, this is adding trim rollers but with that edit selected you can press the delete key. And if I just de-select, you can see that the transition effect is gone. Plus if you have the transition manipulation tool enabled and you click on a transition icon, now with that icon selected, you can press delete and remove it. You can also remove multiple transition effects in the same step. If you go into the effect mode so that our composer window is now acting as a preview monitor, you can select transition effects, holding the shift key…
