- [Instructor] Naturally, sometimes, you're going to want to replace the contents of a clip in a sequence. And the workflow I want to show you is a really clever trick. It's not exactly moving contents within a sequence, but it does allow you to replace a clip that's already there. I've got this 6_39_2 shot in my sequence and I definitely don't want it. It's just a repeat of the end of the clip before it. So I found a replacement shot, which is the 7_33 _2 clip. I've opened this in my source monitor and I've removed the in and out points that I previously added. I'm just going to use my play head, my position indicator as an in point, and Media Composer will do that automatically. Next up, I'm making sure that I'm in the red overwrite, the lift overwrite segment mode in my timeline window, because I want to perform and overwrite edit and replace the contents of this segment.
