Save an effect template

- If you're happy with the way you've configured an effect, it's extremely easy in Media Composer, to create a preset. The way media composer manages effect presets, is one of the reasons I love it so much as an editing system. I'm going to go into effect mode here, and I'm going to look at the effect editor. And, you'll notice at the top left of the effect editor, where it says "Dip to Color", I've got an icon, that represents the effect. In fact, each of the effects that I've applied to this sequence, has it's own unique icon. But that's not critically important, what's important is that I have this icon in the effect editor window. I'm going to go to my bins in my project panel, let me just resize this a bit, so we can see both, and I'm going to create a new bin, and I'm going to call this bin, "Effect Presets". Here we go. All you need to do, to create a preset, from an effect that you have displayed in the effect editor, is drag this icon straight into a bin. This is a fantastic…
