- [Instructor] In the early stages of an edit you're likely to be working mostly in the Extract/Splice In mode, whether that's adding clips to a sequence or trimming. But, of course, the problem is that's likely to introduce more sync issues. I'm working in a sequence here called JKL Trim. I'm just going to duplicate this, that's command D on Mac OS, control D on Windows. And I'm going to work on a complete version so you can follow along. And in this sequence I've got some parkour runners and this is perfect media for us to check out the trimming tools in Media Composer. I've got both of my trimming smart tools enabled, and let's switch on the second mode as well. And in this mode I'm going to click and I'm going to drag to the left to trim this first shot. And immediately we've got this beautiful animation. It's a relatively new feature in Media Composer that shows us what's going to happen to the other clip segments in my sequence.
