The Smart Tools
- [Instructor] For this tutorial, I'm using a new project called a Drag and Drop Editing. So far, we have looked at using these tools to splice in and overwrite buttons, and these tools, the extract and lift buttons. And in both cases, we've been using in and out points to select a part of a clip we want to add to a part of the timeline panel or part of a sequence that we want to remove. The third mode for editing in Media Composer of course, is dragging things around. And to understand how this works in Media Composer, we need to take a look at these two buttons. The segment mode and the trim type. We'll be exploring different ways of using the tools that these two buttons give you. But I want to begin with a summary of the settings. First of all, if I click on either of these buttons, I turn them off or on. And if they're both off, then when I click anywhere in my sequence, I'll be able to scrub through. I can't…
