Types of effect
- For this tutorial, I'm working with a new project called introduction to segment effects. There are several types of effect that you're going to work with in media composer. We have already explored transition effect that you could apply using the transition button, or by dragging them from the effect pallet from the transition category directly into your sequence. We've also seen that if you create a transition effect template, it'll appear in the effect pallet provided that in is open. The next main kind of effect that you could work with in media composer is a segment effect, and these segment effects are applied from the filters category in the effect pallet. You'll apply these in much the way that you would apply in transition effect, and we'll get into working with these properly in just a moment.
