- [Instructor] One of the great features in working with Avid Media Composer is the direct relationship between the application and the files in your storage. With a lot of editing applications, take Premiere Pro for example, everything is kind of bound up inside the Premiere Pro project file. But in Media Composer, the bins are separate files, the project itself is a separate file, and the folder structure that you create in the project is reflected in your storage. I just want to run over this for a moment so we're really clear about which items we're working with. I've got my finder window displayed in the background here. This is our projects, it's on the desktop. It doesn't really matter where it is. I just want to have this onscreen, it's the same on Windows, of course, we'd be using an Explorer window. And here in Media Composer I'm going to make a new project at that location. So I make a new project, and let's call this New Project. That kind of works, I'm happy with these…
