Understanding the project's color space setting

- [Tutor] I'd like to take a moment to just touch on the color space options you have when creating a new project. I'm in the select project window, and I'm going to click on new project, and in this new project dialog box we have a color space menu. There are many options available on this menu, and it can be a little bit wildering when you are first creating a project to know which to choose. The references at the beginning of each description are showing the way that the color information is going to be divided. So why? Here it refers to the luminous the brightness in the image that's one channel of color, and then there's color blue and color red, and the 709 refers to the color standard that's being used. Whenever you choose on this menu, in a way I suppose the simplest way to describe it is the media composer will conform your colors to that standard.
