Unleashing the sound editor
- [Voiceover] The sound editor is arguably one of the most exciting parts of Melodyne 4, it opens up a world of amazing sound design possibilities. Melodyne accomplishes this by analyzing a sound as we've seen, then breaking it down into all of it's individual components consisting of the fundamental pitches and related overtones of each constituent note in a monophonic or polyphonic recording along with the rhythm and then gives you incredibly detailed control over all of those elements of the sound. We saw in the first chapter of this course how to open the sound editor pane, just click this button here, or assign a shortcut in the preferences to toggle it open or closed. The sound editor pane displays the currently selected track or tracks and follows your selection if you have more than one track open at the same time.
