Working with scales and tuning

- [Voiceover] Melodyne will automatically detect the key, scale, mode, and tuning of imported audio, using the detection algorithm that we looked at in the last chapter, but of course, we still have the ability to alter this. We've already seen how to turn on and off the pitch grid. From the pitch options, you can turn on and off snap, or you can choose chromatic snap, or scale snap, for moving notes. I usually like chromatic snap, but scale snap has its uses. You can also change the grid view from piano keys to scale notes, or to pitch lines. If you prefer to view scale degrees instead of note names, you can also change that view here. I typically prefer the piano keys and note names. Now, let's click down here, on the symbol that looks like two sharp signs, to open the scale editor. From here, we can access options for scales and tunings. The scale menu at the top provides options for defining the scale, and we can even choose just tuning for that scale. Choose open scale, and you…
