How to light for photogrammetry photography

- [Narrator] In this video, we'll talk about how to set up lighting for photogrammetry photography. First, some general lighting goals. You want your lights to be as bright as possible, as even as possible, as diffused as possible, so not casting harsh shadows, and using the largest lighting source possible. This will help to avoid some highlights and we'll cover some more details of that in a later slide. First and foremost, don't use a flash. It'll cause bounce back and highlights, which will make your photos much more difficult, if not impossible, to process. Don't include light sources in your photographs. So, if this is your lighting studio, you'd want to zoom in so that you're not including any of those lighting sources in the actual photograph that you take into the photogrammetry software. Don't create hotspots. So, we can see here on this image of a tea kettle, there are reflections of lots of the lights. Now…
