How to set mesh editing goals

- [Instructor] In this video, we'll talk about how to set goals for editing a mesh after going through a photogrammetry workflow. In order to do so, we'll need to consider a few deciding factors. Most importantly, what is the mesh for? Are we going to be 3D printing something, are we going to use it just on screen for visualization, are we extracting measurements to build some sort of a CAD model? But we should know those questions before we go ahead and start editing. Next, what editing software is available? There are lots of mesh editing packages out there, and each one kind of has its own specialty. So it's important to know which ones we have available to us, or which ones we might need to get. On a related note, thinking about what are the capabilities of the software that we have available to us. Do those match up with the purpose that our mesh is for? Last but not least, how much time is available for editing?…
