Preparing digital image files for photogrammetry

- [Instructor] Like many of the key points in shooting photographs for photogrammetry prepping your images is straightforward, though not necessarily intuitive. After watching this video, you'll be able to make sure that your image files are prepped in the correct way for successful photogrammetry. First and foremost, never, ever crop, resize, rotate, or warp your photographs. Doing so is almost guaranteed to cause your alignment and your 3D recreation of your objects to fail. If you need to, minor brightness and contrast adjustments are okay. If at all possible, you should be shooting in a raw file format. And if that's the case, you'll need to convert, probably to something like a TIF file for import into your photogrammetry software.
