Command types
- [Instructor] In this exercise I want to discuss the different types of commands available in MicroStation, continue using the file for chapter one surviving the interface, now let's talk about primary commands versus view commands in MicroStation. MicroStation commands are persistent commands as I mentioned before so when I select the line command and I begin drawing a line, the command will stay running even after I right click to issue a reset to stop the current line element. The line command does not stop. So I can add additional lines as needed. Remember a primary command continues to run until another primary command is selected. If I wanted to issue a view command, in the middle of drawing a line, I can. Since view commands are transparent and are allowed to run in the middle of any primary command. When doing this, I can issue the first right click or reset to end the view command and I am back in the line command. A second right click or reset will stop the primary command…
