- [Instructor] Now let's look more closely at the compass. The AccuDraw compass is the symbol you see in the view window whenever you issue a data point. This compass consists of a round or square shape with an X and Y the axis. The X axis is displayed in red and the Y axis is displayed in green. As we use commands, the compass will automatically follow and rotate along with our precision input. The round-shaped compass represents polar, which provides the ability to key in precision input using distance and angle. Similar to at distance less than angle precision input in autoCAD. The square compass represents the rectangular mode which provides us with the ability to key in XY coordinates and distances. Similar to using X,Y or @X,Y key-ins in autoCAD. When moving in a positive or negative direction, AccuDraw automatically tracks your movements and assigns a positive or negative value to any of the key-ins you provide.
