Creating the base
- In this next part we're going to be doing the base and pin, so we're starting with the drive wheel part. So I've already saved this out. So then we're ready to go ahead and start. So I'll delete my part, and then we'll start by tiling the views again. This is going to consist of a slab feature, a pin or a cylinder, and a hole. So, consists of three different features, so we'll start by using the slab feature command. We used this before in the previous project. And then we'll set the length now to eight inches. The width will be 5.5, and then the height will be 0.25. So this part provides a base for the other parts, so for the drive wheel and the cam part will all be mounted on this base part for the assembly. So we'll just use our top view. This will be my length, then my width, and then my height. So now we have the base part created. So now we'll just need to put in the pin, and then the hole, so let's start with the pin.
