- This exercise will investigate the various settings that were inherited when using a seed file. Continue using the file for Chapter Two, Basic DGN Concepts. If I go up to the Settings pull-down menu and select the Design File command, the Design Settings dialogue will open and this is where we can review all the inherited design file settings. First let's take a look at Active Angle. The Active Angle setting is used by many commands such as Place Text and Place Cell. This setting is global to all models in the design file. The active angle can also be modified during command operations using the Tool settings dialogue. Or you can use the key-in AA equals an angle value such as 90, zero, or 180 to set the active angle. The Active Scale setting is used by many commands as well, such as Place Cell and Scale Element. This setting is also global to all models in the design file.
