- [Instructor] Open the file for chapter three, basic 3D commands, and using view groups select the 3D ortho planes model. Now that we have a 3D file open we need to learn how to control the plane that MicroStation and AccuDraw are using to draw elements. This is where AccuDraw really shines. In fact, AccuDraw was originally created to help with working in 3D. The first thing we will draw in 3D using AccuDraw is the simple isometric box. First we will draw this using 2D elements that are aligned with the correct 3D planes. Using the task navigation dialog, select the place block command and left click anywhere in the view window. The compass is aligned with the view by default. So I need to rotate it to the top plane to draw the base of the shape. I will key in t for top and key in the x distance of 3.
