Draw 3D solids
- [Instructor] Continue using the file for chapter three, Basic 3D Commands.dgn and using few groups, select the 3D solids model. In this exercise, we will use AccuDraw to place some simple 3D solids. First, let's place a solid box similar to the 2D planes we placed earlier. Using the task navigation dialogue, select the solids modeling panel and select the slab solid command and left click anywhere in the view window. Key in T to rotate the compass to the top plane and drag the cursor in the X direction and key in a value of three and left click to accept. Now drag the cursor in the Y direction and use the repeat distance indicator to define this axis as three. Now I can drag the cursor up in the Z direction and key in a value of one and left click to accept. If the entire solid element is not displayed and it appears that a corner is missing, that is caused by the active display depth. To correct this, just double click the wheel to perform a fit view, which will reset the display…
